Is Your Organization an Ideal Fit for Our IT Services?

As we’ve previously outlined, there are several things to consider when deciding who will manage your IT services, including how much control you want, how accessible you want your IT staff and if you mind paying a monthly subscription for IT services.

If you’ve decided you want a managed service provider to control some, if not all, of your IT services, it’s time to figure out if Hungerford Technologies is the best fit for you.

We’ll highlight the key attributes that define the ideal match, but it’s important to note we do make exceptions. This is not a be-all, end-all list of things our clients must be or possess. Rather, it’s a guide to what has been successful for both our clients and us.

If your organization only meets a couple of the attributes, that doesn’t mean we can’t work together. However, the fewer attributes you have, the lower the likelihood that we’ll be a good match for you.

Proximity to Our Grand Rapids Office

We generally like to work with organizations that are within 90 miles of our Grand Rapids office. The reason for this is it allows us to drive to your location within a reasonable amount of time if we need to do any on-site support. The shorter distance also allows our technicians to help multiple clients per day.

While most of our support is done remotely, there are instances where we need to be at your physical location, such as during the onboarding process or for on-premises server maintenance.

We have clients that are located outside of that 90-mile range, but if possible, it helps us support everything that you do if the distance is shorter.

Size of Your Company

Our tailored solutions are ideal for companies that employ 25 to 200 employees. For organizations with less than 25 employees, it might be more effective to track your IT with a spreadsheet rather than an expensive automation tool that tracks more data than you’ll ever need. Organizations with more than 200 employees often have needs that we cannot accommodate.

The 25 to 200 range allows us to help small businesses that may only have one or two IT people on staff to fill in the gaps those employees can’t cover. It also allows us to manage the IT for medium-sized businesses that have a small team but need help covering the day-to-day work while they handle the bigger IT projects.

Of course, we also have clients with no IT staff employed and outsource us to handle everything from day-to-day support to larger-scale projects.

Our Windows Proficiency

The expertise of our support staff and technicians is in managing Windows-based computers, such as Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc.

Some of our clients, while they mostly use Windows computers, do have a few Mac computers, and we can support them. However, if your business primarily uses Macs, we may not be the best fit.

We offer help desk support to assist you and your team with common IT issues. But the value in our comprehensive solutions goes beyond day-to-day work to assist with big-picture tasks, such as asset tracking, lifecycle planning and budgeting.

Companies Looking to Make a Change

If you’re looking to outsource your IT work or looking to change from your current MSP in the next 12 months, we could be a good fit for you.

Even if you currently are under contract with an MSP for another 18 to 24 months, we can begin discussions now and address the issues you are having while discussing how we are going to align our services to meet your business goals.

Starting those discussions earlier will make for a smoother transition when the onboarding process does begin.

Your Pain Points Match Our Comprehensive Solutions

As an MSP, we offer help desk support to assist you and your team with common IT issues. But the value in our comprehensive solutions goes beyond day-to-day work to assist with big-picture tasks, such as asset tracking, lifecycle planning and budgeting.

We track all your IT assets, such as computers, switches, servers, etc., so you have a record of everything you own, even if it’s an extra laptop that isn’t used daily.

Lifecycle planning allows us to show you the average lifespan of each device you own and when we recommend replacing it. This will help you plan ahead so you aren’t surprised by unexpected costs.

Then we’ll help you budget for replacing those devices. Because you might have big waves in some years, we’ll assist you in balancing your costs by determining if some replacements can be pushed to a later date.
