Who is Not a Good Fit for Our Phone Systems?

Finding the right business phone system can be overwhelming for organizations with unique needs and budget constraints.

At Hungerford Technologies, we provide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone solutions for making calls over the internet rather than traditional phone lines.

But while VoIP phone solutions offer several great benefits that a traditional phone system doesn’t, it doesn’t mean it’s the right solution for you and your organization.

We’ve previously discussed the key organizational aspects that could make our phone systems a good fit for your business.

But there also are some key aspects that mean your organization might not be a good fit.

Beyond U.S. Borders

If your business is located outside the United States, you most likely will not be a good fit.

There are exceptions, of course. If, for example, you are based in the United States but have locations outside of the United States, then we might be able to work around that.

On-premises Solutions

Unfortunately, we will not be able to help you if you’re looking for on-premises solutions.

We, as an organization, don’t see a future for on-premises phone systems, instead opting to offer only cloud-based solutions that will be viable in the future.

Suppose you’re set on utilizing an on-premises solution. In that case, it’s important to note many of the companies that offer on-premises phone systems are starting to move away from those solutions, which means they don’t have the resources to support those solutions.

Outdated Gear

If you’re looking to use your existing hardware despite it being outdated or incompatible with today’s solutions, you probably won’t be a good fit for our solutions.

There’s a good chance your existing hardware won’t be able to meet your needs now or in the future.

You’ll incur a small increase in capital expenditure to upgrade to new hardware, but it will be usable for much longer than your current hardware.

Unsupported Software

If you need to tie in unsupported software that is not Open API, integrations might pose a challenge.

We don’t want to sell you a solution that doesn’t meet your business’s needs, so if you’re committed to using unsupported software, then you probably won’t be a good fit for our solutions.
